Get to know me

My story

Originally a sheet metalworker I became interested in working with wood when I renovated properties in the 90s and realised not only quite how much I could do with wood but also how much I enjoyed the work. In my school days, I especially took to art and technical drawing and found I naturally transferred these skills to my woodcraft. I enjoy the challenge of working in all kinds of styles and genres and don’t like to stay in any particular mode for too long. I really enjoy any opportunity to up-cycle (If I can make something new out of something old then I will!)

My philosophy

My main ethos is to stay true to the wood. Equally, I always aim to reuse, recycle and reappropriate all that I use. I always use wood of good quality and never use pallets or scaffold boards. The wood tends to come from reclaim yards, marinas, house clearances and of course, nature itself.

Meet the team

Meet Millie (Bottom) and Luna (Top) our team mascots. You may find them modeling our furniture every now and then. Both dogs love walks but the love of Luna’s life is her ball. Millie loves exploring with her sister but spends her spare time stealing everyone’s socks. Leave any toy alone with these girls and it will be wrecked in seconds.

Introducing Nia (me!) the designer of this website, Andy’s technical support, personal assistant (oh, and his step-daughter). Although these are all important jobs, my main, and most important job, is tea provider, providing the fuel needed to create these fabulous pieces of furniture.

And now the man of the hour, Andrew Bridge. In case you didn’t peruse the info above, here’s a quick summary. Initially a sheet metal worker, Andy discovered a love for woodwork when he renovated a house in the 90s, he now combines both of these skills to create unique and quality products. This can include lamps, tables, chairs (basically anything), and even garden rooms. He strives to be as eco-friendly as possible by using reclaimed wood whenever possible and doing his research on the wood he is using. This all provides the qualities of a quality piece that guarantees satisfaction.
